Being Tacky

Well what would we have here? A returning blogger? Hehehe.

No words can truly say how neglected I've been of this platform, so I shall endeavour to entertain you readers with this entitled 'being tacky'

marked by lack of style (basically someone trying to act above their SES/social-economic status or an intelligent 'wannabe')
Following my defeat of several votes four Fridays past, I am elated to note that three of my five suggestions have been carried out, under the leadership of very capable persons who are not under the vicinity of outcasts. As the common day expression of people may play tricks on one, it is my duty to bring to your attention the simple fact that I have gotten over the lost.

Now, it has come to my attention that on the very day of my speech that my proposal was carried out right away, almost coincidentally, with the approval of the international educators that surrounded my friends and I in ties and dresses. This is the basketball club. It is held every Monday under the supervision of a very proficient young man affectionately known as Mr. D from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at, as I mentioned in my campaign visits, “our sister school, SIS”.

It is not entirely spontaneous then, that my recommendation of having a movie night was to be seconded and approved and applauded to immediately. With such a dedicated group of individuals by the side of the newly founded Pre-U committee, it is almost indefinite that this night will take off in an admirable speed. Despite many initial hesitant reactions by various stakeholders, I am as sure as an anchor that the first ever inter-program event organized by the Canadian International Matriculation Program will kick off in a fascinating manner. I place my confidence in the team that is in charge of this event which comprises of me.

Ever since I was a little boy, I had always loved going out to unknown places. This passion did not stop as I grew and today I have the distinct pleasure to notify you the great potential that is before us as we speak. It is a camp. When used in the state that controls the great Malacca Straits, the word ‘camp’ is often synonymous with the term ‘having fun’. On this note, it is true that this will involve many hours of tedious planning and careful coordination, but by God’s Holy Grace, the ends will justify the means. As you read this piece, budgets are being drafted, accommodations are being booked and networks are being established. The group of significant individuals who are making this camp a reality involves many people, one of whom is a young man named, Stanley.

With this overwritten piece that I present before the powerful globalized readers of the technological world, I beg your pardon for spilling the beans on what has come, what is to come and what is yet to come. As I end my furtive approach to being tacky, I leave you with a quote that will justify the purple prose that you have seen in the paragraphs previous four. It is said by Dante Alighieri.

“The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis.”

This is me biding you adieu, man at his best.
