Great Replies

Intro: This was initially posted from the iPad, because my Dell gives me too much distractions to type (ref: FB post on distractions)

Having experienced braces for almost a week now, I have finally gotten use to it. I'm really glad that most of you guys out there actually treat me the same with braces, which further emphasizes the fact for me that Hollywood's negative portrayal of people with braces. Therefore, I have decided to come up with a few funny replies that I use whenever someone asks me, "why did you get braces done?"

1. I want to make my teeth colourful! You know, white teeth isn't really my type of thing.

2. I have experienced all the great food of the world (ok, perhaps not African food, but not really that keen on trying it), so I decided to get them done!

3. I want to lose weight xD [author's note: this is the best reply because it is TRUE!]

4. I want to know how it feels like to have metal stuck on my teeth (worst ever)

5. All my cousins got it done, so I want to follow in their footsteps! :)

P/S: I have actually used all of these excuses in the past six days and if you haven't guessed already, the only replies that I have gotten was blank stares and hesitant answers of 'ok... Anyway have you...?' (then the person changes the topic)
