First Principles Poem

My dear little First Principles,

easy to get, easy to hate,

just to prove a derivative,

you use all your limits again and again.

Simplicity made you adored by all,

but complexity showed your stupidity,

yet I must know your origin,

before Power Rule can guide me afar.

But of course, product, quotient and chain,

will do their Rule as fine as you;

Especially since Chain is a main,

as he does as fine as the other two!
