Chapter 6

Unrequited Love- Chapter 6 Clue-less

On Monday, the music teacher- Miss Seow- Announced that the children’s day and Graduation Day have dances that is going to be performed by std.6 students. She also said that if anyone has a group of at least 6 people, then they can audition for the dance. However, only 1 modern dance will be allowed.

There were 2 dance groups vying for the modern dance. 1 from class 6S and 1 from class 6C. Both the classes were good academically and in sports. However, students of 6S are usually boastful, making most of the students of 6C to hate them. Zach and his friends was from 6C.

So they started. Everyday, they would practice from 7.30am until 10.30am. After which, they would go back to class and study. Both teams were improving day by day. However, students of 6S recruited the great dancers from class 6R. When students of 6C knew, they were really shocked and angry. They decided to recruit some quite decent dancers from class 6J and 6K. 6R was the class for all the choir and band members that doesn’t get very good results academically wise. 6J and 6K were also known as the “gangsters” class. However, class 6C took their chances with them.

Before the showdown between class 6S and class 6C, there was a week of holiday. Before the holidays, class 6S and class 6C gave in their group names and group member names. Class 6S and Class 6C group names were Waltz For You and Remix respectively.

During the holidays, both teams practice hard. Sometimes, they would practice for the whole day. They tried very hard to perfect all the moves.

“What do you mean you quit?” The group leader of Remix asked.
“We can never be able to beat Waltz For You. Their class usually beats us.” The “gangsters” of the group answered.
“We have no confidence in beating them at all.” Another group member answered.
“It will be a tough battle and we don’t want to get our reputation dropped.” Another answered.
“But we spent so much time training together! You can’t give up! We must fight to the end!” Group leader Jennifer answered.
“Our decision is final. I’m sure you can do without us.” The hip-hop dancers said and left.

“OK! That’s enough for today.” The group leader of Waltz For You said.
“I wonder how Remix is doing.” A dancer asked.
“They are probably slacking because they can’t beat us.” Another dancer replied. They both laughed loudly.

What would happen on the showdown between the two highly respected groups? Will Remix be able to get through this obstacle?
