Hey, I'm back after a long break. The break was mainly because of my MYE (Mid-Year Examinations). Although I only got 91 for English, I managed to get the highest in the whole form 1!
Just if you guys don't think I'm good, I will just post my answers for the exam here. ^^ Enjoy~

Hello cousin Esmond!
On the 1st of April 2008, my school friends and I attended a very interesting English-in-camp programme. The programme was organized by my school’s English Society during the mid-semester holidays. It was fun, so I decided to write you a letter about it.
On the first day of the camp, my friends and I registered ourselves at 9.30a.m. After an hour of waiting, the roll-call took place. After that, a session called “knowing Me, Knowing You” took place. It was a session to get to know each other.
At 12.30p.m. , we had a lunch break. After a scrumptious lunch, there was an opening ceremony for the guest-of-honour. To our amazement, it was the State Education Director! There were rumours in the camp that he would come, but I never expected it to happen.
From 5.00 p.m. until 7.00p.m. , we relaxed and played games. The games we played were badminton, netball and football.
At 7.00p.m. , we had another delicious dinner. After dinner, there was still a lot of food left. I was confused because the cook just kept putting more food. Then, my friend Andrew told me, “This is supper!”
The next day, we had to wake up early to do physical exercise for an hour. It was very tiring, but after that we had a good breakfast.
After breakfast, we had a treasure hunt. We were divided into five groups. After the fun treasure hunt, we had a morning break followed by an English Language Quiz. Next, we had a prize giving ceremony. Our team won the treasure hunt. Lastly, we had a closing ceremony and had lunch.
During the camp, we had some camp rules. They were speak English at all times, keep the camp site and facilities clean, be punctual for programmes, take part in all activities and lastly be courteous and friendly.
I hope you have enjoyed reading my letter. I hope to receive a letter back from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Stanley Chia

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it jump-starts our body. Breakfast make us energized as well. Apart from that, breakfast will make us concentrate more both physically and mentally. A reason why people skip breakfast is because they do not have time to eat. Also, some people would rather sleep than eat. (60 words) 7/10

The synopsis of the story The Pencil by Ali Majod is about two boys who fought each other. The boys’ names were Zahid and Dolah. The class monitor told Mr Jamal, the teacher on duty that day. The boys explained that the reason that they fought was over a pencil. When Mr Jamal asked Dolah to go take the pencil, Dolah seized the chance to carve his initial ‘D’ on the pencil. When Mr Jamal asked them to show their evidence, Dolah managed to show his initial on the pencil. Therefore, Mr Jamal hit Zahid using a rottan three times. After that incident, Zahid pushed Dolah until he fell. Mr Jamal punished Zahid by pincing his stomach. Later than day, Zahid felt feverish. He didn’t go to school for three days. When he went back to school, he was not the same Zahid as before. He bought a pocketknife and used it to stab Dolah. This was a serious offence and Zahid was sent to the principal’s office. The principal, Mr Berahim, was very kind to Zahid. Zahid told him everything he did. After that, Mr Berahim asked Dolah to come and see him. Dolah confessed that it was him who stole the pencil. Mr Berahim advised Mr Jamal about that matter. From that day onwards, Zahid went back to his normal self again. (9/10)

Total= Paper 1 (39/40) + Paper 2 (43/50) *100%= 91/100
Haha, that's probably the reason my friends say that my essays are interesting to read. *wink*
