Unrequited Love- Chapter 1 Girlfriend, Boyfriend?

People say that if you have a girlfriend/boyfriend in primary school, your relationship with that person will never last long.
People say that if you are too young, you will easily break your girlfriend/boyfriend’s heart without knowing.
People say that you should only start to go out with your “friend” when you’re older.
However, I chose to not listen to them, and pursue my dream to chase the girl I love.

3 weeks before UPSR, a few teachers came from SMKTD. They came to advertise their school, and encouraged us to go study in their school for secondary school. It was also the day Zach confessed his love to Jennifer.


Zach was a prefect of his school, a basketball player and also a band member. Apart from that, he was a normal Std.6 student. He excelled in both curriculum and co-curriculum. Jennifer was a student who had a big heart, and was always ready to cheer up her classmates whenever they had problems. She was a good student, and would always try to help the teachers whenever she could. Those were some of the main reasons how Zach fell in love for her. However for Jennifer, the reasons she fell in love with Zach were unknown.


As the Std.6 students came out of the auditorium after hearing the teachers from SMKTD advertising their school, Zach used this perfect opportunity to confess to Jennifer. He led her to the prefect meeting room that only prefects and prefect teachers are allowed to go in.
“Jennifer, would you like to know who I love?” Zach asked.
“Yes. Why here? Only prefects are allowed here.” She said.
“It doesn’t matter. The girls I love is not a prefect, is very beautiful, very smart, have long hair and is very kind. She sits in your row. I give you 2 guesses.” He said.
“Hm, is it Samantha?” She asked.
“No. Last try now.” He replied.
“Stephanie?” She asked.
“No. I will just tell you the answer now. Come closer…” He said.
“Ok…” She said. What was Zach thinking?

“Hey Cody, did you see where Zach went?” HJ asked Cody.
“He disappeared after we left the auditorium. Maybe he went to the toilet?” Cody replied.
HJ and Cody are Zach’s best friends. There were in the same class since Std. 2. They also share one common interest – MapleStory. Although HJ is the only one among them that doesn’t need to wear glasses, he is the best of them all in MapleStory.

“Jennifer! Jennifer! Where are you? Ms. Ang is looking for you!” SY shouted. SY was a prefect too.
“Is Amanda missing? Zach is missing too!” Cody said.
“Maybe they went somewhere together!” Edrick suggested. He always thinks of that kind of stuff. He also plays MapleStory.
“Don’t be a sick guy Edrick. I’m sure they are not together” Cody said. At least I hope they aren’t thought Cody.
“Anyway, we will just have to wait for them to come back now” Andrew said. If anything happens to Jennifer and Zach is the cause of it, he will get it, Andrew thought. Andrew is also a prefect. He plays MapleStory too. Zach, HJ, Cody, Edrick and Andrew always play MapleStory together. They even made a guild together called “Friends4ever”.


Although Jennifer is just a mere friend to all of the boys, Cody and Andrew are strangely thinking of her safety. Maybe the both of them are love rivals? Maybe Jennifer is together with either one of them? We will know in the next chapter!
